The duo nabbed the gold medal, making them the first Americans to ever win the event's title.
Davis and White performed their nearly flawless routine to "Sheherazade," with Davis resting her head on White's back in "exhausted elation" when they finished their routine, according to ESPN.
The ice skating pair scored 116.63 points in the free dance and finished with 195.52, just 4.53 ahead of Canadian duo Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, who took home silver.
Russia's Elena Ilinykh and Nikita Katsalapov won bronze.
After finishing the competition, White, who started skating with Davis in 1997, said, "That in itself justified 17 years of hard work."
"We have grown up in every sense of the word," Davis added.
Davis and White also won bronze in the new team event in Sochi.
