“It’s official! I have tickets to the game!!!” the woman selling the rings said in an email to The Kansas City Star. “We met at a jewelry store so they could verify the ring was real and matched the appraisal I had provided him.”

The woman said that she was actually trading the rings from a previous marriage. So the institution of marriage might be dying, however, take comfort knowing the NFL is still going strong.

The man who traded the tickets first saw the ring on Craigslist through his girlfriend, who had recently begun hinting at engagement rings according to the man.

He plans to surprise his girlfriend with the ring on Sunday.
