Anna Kendrick is just as excited as the rest of us for the upcoming sequel to Pitch Perfect!

The actress chatted with E! News at the Rebecca Minkoff fashion show in New York City and gave some hints about what fans can expect to see from the next flick.

"I can see it picking up in the year 3000 when we're all cryogenically frozen," she joked. "And our voices are digital and we're breaking the sound barrier."

There's also been speculation that the highly anticipated sequel will feature much different music than its predecessor.

"Basically, the truth is, I don't know. I wish I had information. Right now, I know nothing," Kendrick explained.

And when asked if the rest of the cast (aside from Rebel Wilson, who is already signed on to play Fat Amy again) will return to the big screen, she teased, "I hope so, certainly!"

Aside from Kendrick and Wilson's casting announcements, we also learned last week that Elizabeth Banks has signed on to direct the movie.

Banks, who also played a judge on the a cappella circuit in the original, will be making her directorial debut for the future film.

"[Banks] brings an enormous amount of energy and experience to everything she works on and we're thrilled that she is making her feature directorial debut on Pitch Perfect," said Universal Pictures chair Donna Langley.

Universal Pictures and Gold Circle Films have also set a release date of May 15, 2015.
