Jerritt Clark/WireImageRamona Singer is going through a tough time—the last thing she needs is for a former friend to comment on her impending divorce from Mario Singer. And yet, that's exactly what Jill Zarin has done.
The businesswoman, 57, lashed out at her former Real Housewives of New York City costar Zarin, 50, for speaking to the press about Mario's alleged infidelity earlier in the week. Singer first retweeted a fan on Thursday, Jan. 30, who wrote, "Why in the hell is @jillZarin discussing anything at all about @ramonasinger? STFU Jill. You nor your gossip are relevant."
Ramona then added her own two cents, replying, "Think its sad she feels the need to use my personal business to try to make herself relevant." The jewelry designer also responded to a Twitter user who asked that she "be sensitive" to 19-year-old Avery Singer's needs. "This remains a personal matter," Ramona wrote. "I don't need to be reminded about my daughter. She is my priority ALWAYS."
She also tweeted, "I think the best stress relief, besides Turtle Time, is a good workout! Headed to the gym!"
Later that night, a ring-less Ramona returned to the red carpet to attend Modell's Super Bowl Kickoff Party & Touch by Alyssa Milano Fashion Show at Slate in New York City.
Ramona filed for divorce after 22 years of marriage in New York City Supreme Court on Tuesday, Jan. 28. Days earlier, the Bravo reality star reportedly caught her husband Mario and his alleged girlfriend Kasey Dexter at the couple's Hamptons home. "She saw him there with the girlfriend and made a big scene and called the police," a source told People, which also spoke to Zarin about the breakup news.
"Ramona has been protecting him," said Zarin, who will soon appear on an episode of Oprah: Where Are They Now?. "She looked the other way when people told her he was cheating."
Zarin also claimed that she and Mario got into a tiff in December 2013. "He screamed at me," she said of their chance run-in. "He was mad at me for admitting that he flirted with all the Housewives."
