Oh, you thought the feud between Miley Cyrus and Sinéad O'Connor was over? Well, think again.

The "Nothing Compares 2 U" crooner has penned a fourth letter to the 20-year-old pop star, in which she slammed Cyrus for "stigmatizing mental illness" and implored the "We Can't Stop" singer to apologize for her actions.

And it's safe to say the war of words has taken a turn for the worst.

But first—let's backtrack for a minute.

Twitter

Miley initially brought up the 46-year-old singer-songwriter while explaining that she wanted the music video for her single "Wrecking Ball" to be similar to the famous hit "Nothing Compares 2 U."

After Sinéad got wind of the singer's remarks, she took her blog to post a few sage words for the twerking songstress, suggesting Cyrus is allowing herself to be "pimped" by the music industry while expressing her concern that those around Miley have led her to believe "that it is in any way 'cool' to be naked and licking sledgehammers" in her video.

O'Connor's first letter then prompted Cyrus to post a series of Sinéad's tweets (which the veteran claims are two years old) and compare her to Amanda Bynes.

Which led Sinéad to pen a second letter to Miley, calling the performer "anti-female" and "f--king stupid," to which Miley replied (on Twitter, natch), "Sinead. I don't have time to write you an open letter cause Im hosting & performing on SNL this week. So if youd like to meet up and talk lemme know in your next letter. :)"

Of course, O'Connor then wrote a third letter to the performer, telling Miley she has "no interest in meeting" her while ordering the singer apologize for her remarks.

"You can take five minutes today between g- string f--kin' changes to publicly apologize and remove your abusive tweets," she wrote. "When you publicly apologize to Amanda and myself and all mental health sufferers as well as all who were abused by priests that will end the matter as far as I am concerned...When you end up in the psych ward or rehab I'll be happy to visit you.. and would not lower myself to mock you."

Miley was then asked about Sinéad's many missives during her appearance on the Today show Monday morning:

"I think she's [Sinéad O'Connor's] an incredible artist, I think she's an awesome songwriter, and I was really inspired by her for my "Wrecking Ball" video, which was what started the whole thing," Miley told Matt Lauer. "I don't know how someone can start a fight with somebody who said, 'Hey, I really respect you. And I really love what you what you did.' ‘You know what? You suck! I don't like you!' That was kind of crazy. But as I said, I'm a big fan of hers, so it doesn't really matter."

"It's all good. You can write as many open letters as you want," she added. "That's really what blogging is. I get open letters every day. It's nothing too new for me."

Be careful what you say, Miles.

"Since I do not have any address at which to write to you I do so on my site," O'Connor begins in her fourth letter to the former Hannah Montana star. "Since I have three children at home to take care of, I do not have time to come to meet you. If you wish you can e mail me directly at Iamwonderful@me.com."

"You've said on Matt Lauer's show ( where you again refer to me as 'crazy') that you don't understand why I have been upset with you," she writes in reference to Miley's Today show appearance. "I find that hard to understand frankly, since you're clearly very far from being a stupid woman."

O'Connor continues, clarifying her reasons for having beef with the young beauty.

"My problem with you stems from your response to my first letter. Until you exposed me ( And Amanda Bynes) to abuse on the grounds of my having sought help (extremely coherently) to save my life, when experiencing suicidal compulsion as a side effect of a medication called Tegretol, I had no problem with you whatsoever," she writes before asking Miley to apologize (again).

"I would very much like you please to apologize to myself and Amanda Bynes for having perpetuated abuse of both of us on the grounds that Amanda has had ‘mental health issues' and that I experienced suicidal compulsion and was open about seeking help in order to save my life," she continues. "This should also involve an apology to all sufferers of mental health difficulties and all those who have had experience of suicidal feelings or who have been affected by suicide."

And the content only gets heavier, as she goes on to share a number of facts pertaining to suicide and mental illness before seriously slamming Cyrus for her remarks.

"As a result of what you did I have had numerous communications from people urging me to commit suicide," she claims. "Not to mention I have been the subject of literally thousands of abusive articles and or comments left after articles, which state that I and therefore all perceived mentally ill people, should be bullied and be invalidated. Luckily I am a strong person. And I have four children whose lives would be destroyed if I were to buckle under the abuse you set me up for."

She continues, noting that Cyrus is seemingly unaware of the perceived damage she has purportedly caused.

"I doubt you thought clearly before doing what you did and I'm willing to give you the benefit of doubt on that, as I'd find it hard to believe someone so young could be that calculatedly evil to anyone, never mind someone who did absolutely nothing to deserve such abuse, or to be set up for such abuse from others," she writes, later adding, "I have no interest in the ‘feud' which media want. There is no ‘feud' as far as I am concerned. What there is however.. Is a lot of very serious harm caused to myself and my children and probably to Amanda, and DEFINITELY to silent sufferers of your own age who may look up to you."

She then asks Miley to "restore" her "dignity" before finally closing off her letter.

"Finally I repeat .. When it's you the media crazy.. I'll be happy to punch their lights out for you.. Which is what they deserve. They've gotten away with abuse of the mentally ill for too long. This IS a human rights issue," she says. "If the type of language used in the last week about myself and Amanda ( an innocent party) had been used about those with physical illnesses, or about gay people, or about people of different races, or those with disabilities, there would rightly be outrage. Yet there is no outrage on behalf of sufferers of mental illness or depression."

"Please do the right thing," she writes in conclusion. "You will actually save lives by doing so. There are people who will NOT die tonight, if you are brave enough to state that there is nothing whatsoever wrong with any person seeking publicly or privately, help, in order to stay alive. And that there are no circumstances under which it is acceptable for anyone to use mental illness as a stick with which to beat people."
